Nneka Youth Foundation - HO (VOLTA REGION)
In 2022, GIWA continued to support the NELS (Nneka Education Logistic Support) project by providing funds for the education of 10 students enrolled in different schools within the Region. One of the beneficiaries is a girl who has experienced abuse, and with the support of GIWA, she is now able to attend a boarding school where she is in a safe environment for her growth and development.
Through its ongoing relationship with NYF, GIWA is kept informed about the progress made through regular monitoring visits conducted by the foundation’s staff. Where necessary, GIWA responds to emerging needs, such as covering the transportation costs for three students supported by GIWA to attend the NYF 10th Anniversary celebration held on November 17, 2022, at Christ the King Hall in Accra. GIWA was in attendance at the event, which celebrated the accomplishments of NYF’s founder, Cecilia Fiaka, and the creative performances of the many children who took to the stage.

This is achieved through the implementation of humanitarian aid projects in both emergency and development contexts, with a focus on supporting vulnerable groups such as children, women, and marginalised individuals. The aim is to help them achieve their aspirations, enhance their autonomy, and promote future sustainability.
